!?! PT 3
Question meme because I broke or have almost broken some milestones with my characters! Crown at 9K comments (not all kyr), Yukine for 6K, and Caretaker almost 1k! Ask me anything and everything. I will answer to the best of my ability, yushuyushu.

Annnnd to be honest with you, I have wanted to talk about the two of them since the heart game. Like with a burning passion because I am always excited with how the two of them develop. THANK YOU FOR BEING A COMPLETE COCK-UP IN THE HEART GAME, YATO.
I can't remember the last time I wrote up anything for the way Yukine feels about Yato, which is a shame, because I lack anything to draw comparison to, but I know damn well that they would be incredibly different. Yukine used to be super hinged on the idea that he needed to force a better relationship between the two of them. He felt that he needed Yato trust in him, confide in him, and all of this extra nonsense that Yato was obviously never going to do so it was really just setting himself up for one disappointment after another. It was really dumb but he wanted to force a situation where he felt that he was needed and could imitate the kind of the closeness that he felt that they had back home when he was really just misunderstanding AROUND EVERYDAY for closeness. he's his shinki so he wants to be there for him and be at the ready and all these nice things, but they were just half-baked sentiments that he didn't really consider past a surface level of "I WANT THIS". With the heart-game, he was able to settle a lot of problematic feelings that he was having in the first place with Yato.
Through the heart-game he learned the following:
* He shouldn't trust Yato, but he shouldn't be mad at Yato for being Yato.
* Yato is honestly trying.
* Yato does care for him.
* He is Yato's guidepost & nothing is going to change that.
* Only he, himself, can change that.
* He shouldn't force Yato to be anything but a better version of himself. Trying to make a different person won't work out for anyone.
* Yato won't abandon him.
* Yato does have some respect for him.
Overall, he came out of it with a lot more positive feelings towards Yato than he originally had. And he's not unsure of his footing anymore. He loves Yato, he acknowledges that he loves Yato—even though he'll never say it again. That was your one shot, Yato! He doesn't believe that Yato shares his feelings (more like he thinks Yato has a warm regard for him and that's as far as it goes), but he's okay with it. He's generally pretty okay at where they are right now. He feels that stuff will change as it's needed and he was dumb for trying so hard, out of insecurity, to push things into a direction that suited him better.

It's not something that I have planned out because I want it to happen organically and I am not sure where he is going to be at personality wise when he does realise that he has feelings for her. Ideally, I want him to be able to talk to someone about it and work out a very ridiculous plan to court her with some gross irrational jealousy fits in between.
THE PROBLEM WITH KYR, HOWEVER, is that everything I plan gets completely blown to shit. Since Kyr has a mind of its freaking own.

Edward: This is Hiyori's friend and she's very fond of him! He doesn't know much about him personally except that he's knowledgeable. So no real feelings except he's glad Hiyori has him.
Rotten: Overwhelming, but he likes her! He hopes to come back just to talk to her when he's less worried about other stuff.
Belt: ????????? MURDERED KONG SO HE HATES HER, but she's kind of likeable? Also Tora liked her a lot so?? ??????? ????? WHAT ARE THESE FEELINGS.
CARETAKER:
Edward: INCREDIBLY FOND OF EDWARD, but very embarrassed because he doesn't want to bother him too much. He's very nervous about it. He wants to have a good relationship with him and be able to be a great patron for him in all sense of the word. He just feels that he's lacking all the time because of who he is and his minimum experience as an echo. He kind of feels like he's just winging it and trying to pretend to know what is going on. HE JUST WANTS EDWARD TO LOVE HIM AND BE HAPPY.
Rotten: What a cute girl. He actually quite likes her, but she's hella confusing. No idea what she is talking about a lot of the time.

Lace is hands down one of Caretaker's favourite people that he's met in Kyr and he's incredibly sad that she left to go back to her world. He took it a little hard because he very genuinely and immediately liked her, so he felt like he missed out on so many opportunities to spend time with her and get to know the place that she came from. He spent a few days laying around sadly after she left because he really did want more time!
He talked to Tiamat a little about missing her as well. They suggested hanging her photo up with Diamond who also left, but he felt weird about that? Like he didn't have the place to do something like that. It did make him decide that he should do something for her though (and others who left that mattered to him).
So, there's a wooden sword staked into the ground in his realm to commemorate her.
IT'S REALLY LAME AND HE WOULD NEVER TELL ANYONE ABOUT IT because to be perfectly honest with you (and I have said as much more), Lace is someone he would have fallen in love with. AND DONE ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ABOUT because lol cursed body.

My favourite thing about playing Yukine is that he's got a lot of sides to him and I really enjoy trying to play out all of those elements of him. He can go from being incredibly violent (straight up murdering yato with a glass bottle) to pouring him tea. He's incredibly flexible and very strong because he takes a lot of stuff onto himself without cracking too much underneath the pressure.
For Ikki. . . I just love that he's a fucking unforgivable shitstain. HE'S SO BAD. I LOVE THAT THE MOST.
And Caretaker, I GUESS IT'S WEIRD TO SAY BECAUSE THIS IS MY OC AND I GET NERVOUS ABOUT PLAYING AN OC ALL THE DAMN TIME. But—! I love his gentleness and his leaps to excitement over very small things. Playing him often puts me into a good mood because he tries so hard for the sake of others.
What are some of the biggest regrets you've had about your characters? Like missed chances or plans that fell through? Or just ran out to time to do?

LION: The tragedy is that Isabela has not slept with her yet. What the hell is that about. She does remember her unlike the last time they had spoken (when she wasn't trapped in an echo realm) and I am hoping to get to that part in their thread where she tells her about it! Since she remembers playing cards with her and the others in the Hanged Man.
Is Callie going to be good ending soon-ish since I see her registry is getting up there or will you add more memories to her registry? Like from the comics and etc!

Yukine→Karasu: I really hate to admit this, but he kind of feels like he needs to protect her? As if she is his younger sister? Despite ALL OF THE MASSIVE PROBLEMS WITH THOSE KINDS OF FEELINGS. He really likes her and wants to get to know her better, but he's been having very difficult feelings towards the turnover in the team and been hanging out in EDEN's realm instead of the dorm. Oops.
Yukine→Charles: UTMOST RESPECT & ADMIRATION. Too bad we didn't get more of a chance to thread them BUT THAT WAS MY BAD ENTIRELY.

Sol, however, is someone that Crown really likes. . . to annoy the shit out of. He's refreshingly easy to get a reaction out of and Crown knows that he can get attention from him basically whenever he wants, so he likes that quite a lot! As well as saying shit to him just for the pure shock value of it. Sol is really genuine in a lot of what he does, so he's amazing to tease. Crown doesn't mean a lot of what he says, but he's definitely not going to stop any time soon.
On the flip side, Sol has had his back when the chips were down despite having no fucking obligation to so Crown would be one of the first people to throw down if something came to pass. It really meant a lot to him to have support when he didn't deserve it.

But Caretaker genuinely adores and considers Rook to be his friend. Things can only go up from here!! I will try to tag out with him some more on mingles so they can develop a little further.
Right now my main plan is get him more established with his team because he is very enamoured with the idea of being able to patron for them. Well, more so been nervously feeding them and hoping that it'll be enough for them for right now. I also want to get him to start running games and become a general staple of Kyr (kind of like rotten) where he's an echo that most people know and trust.

Like, he thinks she is incredibly hot, but he is also horrified because she is terribly similar to his sister in some regards. Who is a fucking powerhouse of strength, in the exact way that Ikki is, and would smash your head like a watermelon between her thighs.
YUKINE→HIYORI:
christ. the problem is that i could basically write an entire novel regarding his feelings towards hiyori and i would still probably manage to leave something out because his relationship with her has gotten incredibly complicated in ways that both he (the character) and I (the player) have never expected. I am going to just try to touch on the important bits because ain't nobody got time to read my fucking word vomit over their relationship.
unlike the last time that i answered this for her, he doesn't even have the slightest bit of romantic inclination towards her anymore. she blew out the flame that he was holding for her in his heartgame by . . . well, blowing out the candle, which has actually shaped a lot about how he feels about her. Previously he was viewing her from more of a rose-tinted glasses kind of standpoint because his feelings for her were getting in the way of him actually forming a well-rounded opinion about her and what's been going on with her. He was too busy viewing her as like this ideal to really see her, so it's a lot better for him that he was able to move away from that because he's getting a much better understanding of who she is. . . and it scares the shit out of him. In fact, he really wants to manipulate her into doing things that aren't nearly as wild and reckless as he feels she is at current, but he ALSO RECOGNISES THOSE FEELINGS and isn't. . . really down with it.
he feels like she is a loose canon and there's nothing he can do about it at all. like it's completely out of his control. and it's stressful.
AND OF COURSE THE STANDARD HE LOVES HER MORE THAN ANYONE ELSE.
ALSO HE IS ENDLESSLY PISSED ABOUT HER COMMENTS ABOUT THE PROFESSOR FROM THEIR FIGHT AND HE REALLY. . . CAN'T STOP BEING MAD ABOUT IT. It's like the second only time he thought she was being an asshole.

CARETAKER→NIGHTINGALE: Thinks she is completely adorable and would like to spend more time with her. Especially if it involves cooking!! Would mother mercilessly if given half the chance.
CARETAKER→CITRINE: COME BACK, STUDENT. COME TRAIN WITH HIM IN HIS REALM. He absolutely adores her. He'd pretty much believe anything she told him.
CROWN→NIGHTINGALE: N/A. No CR at current, which is probably why he's still breathing.
CROWN→CITRINE: Girl's as strong as a fucking ox and that interests him more than anything else, but he is also annoyed that she has no qualms interfering with what he wants!! AIN'T THAT SOME SHIT. He does think she's cute. May perv on later.
YUKINE→NIGHTINGALE: He quite likes her a lot! He's really glad that they were able to have a talk about Yato and come to an understanding about the really crappy memory that she saw of him and he feels a lot more comfortable in visiting the Tak dorm since he's gotten to talk with her a little bit. He would really like to get to know her a little better, especially as Hiyori's teammate.
YUKINE→CITRINE: She's cute, but not much CR there.

Clover, along with Ochre, is one of the people on Tiamat that Caretaker actually feels like he can relate to. With Ochre, it's shared interests because he is a kind of a weird giant mum who wants to mother those he likes endlessly, but with Clover he feels that he relates more with her mindset and her world. Clover feels familiar to him in very good way! She's a very strong person, doesn't have a lot of leeway for nonsense, both gentle and firm depending on the situation, and incredibly reliable. She embodies many traits that Caretaker finds to be admirable. He is currently trying (perhaps too hard) to figure out what she likes and what he can make happen for her because he really wants to make Tiamat happy.
Somehow, he holds Clover to a little higher regard than the others but that's likely from his own bias. He is very fond of her and respects her. It was such a big deal for him when she told him about the date because he felt like he got to get in on a secret! He is hoping to spend more time with her even if it's just to provide somewhere nice to lay.
