Question meme because I broke or have almost broken some milestones with my characters! Crown at 9K comments (not all kyr), Yukine for 6K, and Caretaker almost 1k! Ask me anything and everything. I will answer to the best of my ability, yushuyushu.
If you're not aware, I play Yukine (Alectryon), Crown (Rats), Lion (Cats, echo-dropped), Caretaker (Tiamat Patron), and Melek. . . Who has not been introduced yet. I HAVE TOO MUCH.

LION: The tragedy is that Isabela has not slept with her yet. What the hell is that about. She does remember her unlike the last time they had spoken (when she wasn't trapped in an echo realm) and I am hoping to get to that part in their thread where she tells her about it! Since she remembers playing cards with her and the others in the Hanged Man.
Is Callie going to be good ending soon-ish since I see her registry is getting up there or will you add more memories to her registry? Like from the comics and etc!

Nah but I loved that pancake thread and can't wait to see what shenanigans are ahead with wolf dad. Also yessss Hanged Man party.
Anyway, I currently have no plans to Good End Callie! There are probably a million memories ice failed to list on her registry that I need to start adding, from silly things like chilling at the Hanged Man to a gazillion quests. For example Callie remembers Hawke's aftermath with the death of her mom but not the actual events. Also like you said, there's more good stuff to pull in from the comics! (Alistair why did you let Isabela pick the regroup location what did you expect). Also I think I've neglected endgame events.
I'm also tempted to see about including some early DA:I stuff. Just, like. Work on fleshing out what Varric says she's up to post-Kirkwall, her reaction to the giant hole in the sky. Maybe a memory of hearing Hawke is going to the Inquisition and deciding to toss her hat in as an out-of-the-way agent.
Ramble at me a bit about how you came up with Caretaker/what he's all about?

Also I feel that you are going to deeply regret daring to ask me about the freaking Caretaker. I have so much to say about him at all times!! It's really embarrassing but he is my first OC to ever grace journal rp and I'm oddly fond of him! Which is weird to me because I honestly didn't intend for him to get as fleshed out as a character as he ended up. I apped him with the sole intention of being an npc I could use to run games, so I had a pretty radically different idea for him than what I ended up using. It's probably silly, but I wasn't expecting for him to make any kind of emotional connections with others in the way thaht he did. I was kind of expecting for him to take the route that a lot of echoes do, but instead he started developing gross feelings for wisps!! What a gross nerd!!
So, with the understanding that I did eventually rewrite him because my plans for him changed and most of this isn't actually relevant to the current Caretaker, I'll tell you his humble beginnings. Well, I mean, it's a little relevant because I didn't completely rewrite him since I couldn't go back on anything he had already done or said, so there are certain aspects of his original intent retained! That is, I based his personality around the idea that I was only going to have one echo and through this echo I could run all sorts of game without ever needing the second. TOO BAD I APPED ANOTHER ANYWAY, CHRIST.
When I apped him, he was largely based off of Caretaker/Avatus, which is a highly advanced AI construct designed to monitor and collect data that has grown unstable after years of deteriorating from disuse. The AI flickers from user-friendly to extremely hostile at the drop of a hat—one of the plot points around the AI is to remove those instabilities. You can see an excellent example of him here. Caretaker, the fuzzy one, was also supposed to have a sort of good-evil dual personality. He was supposed to be a righteous knight who had a particular tick that sent him into a violent and spastic mood, which may or may not involve him eating folks. Swallowed whole as if they were nothing at all!
. . . Obviously I didn't do that. Because I couldn't keep his budding relationships if I continued down that path. I mean, I realise it's a horrific approach, but I scrapped my initial ideas as a whole and spent time rewriting him into a more reasonable being that could be more than a game runner. GRANTED, I didn't think he would ever end up as a patron, but I did want him to have a presence among the wisps. So, being half "MURDER THEM" wasn't going to pan out in a way that'd enjoy long term. . .
I wrote up a very long and boring story for him, but I'll sum it up instead of boring you with walls of texts about his origin and who he is. Basically, from the start of his life he has been unwanted and tossed around from place to place all while trying to strive to prove that he is worth keeping . . . and always failing. His parents gave him up as soon as he was old enough to become a squire and he was under the care of a Dame who knew nothing but darkness and evil. On the surface, she was perfection however! So, he always felt as if he were making something out of nothing and tried his best to win her respect and affection. He sort of succeeded. In the worst way possible. He became her weapon and her late-night company (so to speak) and he went down. . . a very dark path. An incredibly dark and bloody path that ended with him snuffing the life out of his mentor and obtaining knighthood himself in service of the kingdom. So then years of darkness without her, crazy feelings, a bloody war, and then eventually a curse placed on him and his unit by a dying village elder. The curse being the transformation into a beast "to match your true nature" that came over the course of a year and a half. The rest of his unit all died before the transformation completed from either their own hand, the war itself, or from the effects of the curse.
He spent that time freaking out and committing more atrocities until it broke him. He ended up in a church, being cared for by the Mother there, and she tried to put him back onto the path of righteous. The night his transformation completed, he was on the floor of the church crying and repenting his sins to her (which is part of the memory he remembers) because he hoped to be released from the darkness within his own heart and the weight of his crimes.
But the path of redemption isn't so easy. . . AND THE STORY CONTINUES BUT I AM ANXIOUS IN EXPLAINING THIS SHIT STORY. LMFAO. I AM SO SORRY.
HAVE YOU EVER CONSIDERED APPING AN ECHO? AND IF SO, WHAT WOULD YOU APP?7

So, you know, probably something Caretake could have done in that original version. XD
How does Caretaker think as a squirely/knightly sort of all the thieves among the dergs?

I saw something about it on plurk, so TELL ME ABOUT CALLIE'S LOVE LIFE.

She's been seeing Heels (Kaine) which is prime "I have a feel and I don't want to address it territory." Intimacy with Heels is stress-relieving and reaffirming because they're both rude people with chipped shoulders and insecurities. Also it's fun to get her drunk and/or high. The It's Complicated factor: recently Heels stabbed herself in the throat and Callie had to watch her bleed out so they could get through traumaprom. This is somewhat awkward.
She's flirting hard with Cherry from Vanara whenever she can and basically if Cherry ever gets it in her head the woman'll be able to pull a desire demon string-pulling on Callie. Whoops. This one is less related to feels and more the pirate's "wow that person is hot and when she talks she sounds like fun."
She got into some BDSM with Belt and now she can fluster Belt at the drop of a hat. Her opinion: Belt is hot and way fun to troll. Has spent some time reassuring Belt that anything that feels good probably isn't something to regret.
Merrill has her in a real fuzzy place that has Callie all confused. Attractive elf is adorable and Callie wants to be her Cool Stoner Aunt so hard but also she can say some really sexy things and is it innuendo and a deliberate pickup or is it just Merrill being kind of derpy?
Hawke is as sexy and fun as Callie remembers. A++ would party with anytime and then sleep over.
Possibly with hot elves or other Bioware protags.Garnet is Callie's emotional favorite right now because Garnet was there when Callie was freshly amnesiac and supported her through the first memories teaching her that Callie's past sucked a lot. Makeouts finally started after a slow burn buildup and lots and lots of flirting (for one thing Callie shot herself in the foot by whispering sexy things in Garnet's ear about what conditions Garnet should kiss her under). And then hilariously they seem to have banged for the first time during AU game with Callie being a space pirate and Garnet being a Turian.
Callie is intrigued about Turians. Do not unleash her on space at large, she will Captain Kirk her way across the galaxy.
Was there anything in particular that drew you to pick up the characters that you play?
