AS FAR AS REN'S CONCERNED, SHROOMY IS SOME KIND OF MASOCHIST.

Not only is he Yato's friend but also seems to be actively looking out for him, which is pretty obvious since he jumps to stop Yato from being a gigantic shit. What kind of person does that? Normal people would totally just write Yato off and put as much distance between them as they could because HE DOESN'T KNOW IF YOU NOTICED OR NOT BUT YATO'S KIND OF A WHACKJOB.

She's cute and he's forever sorry that she got stuck with Yato on her team. She automatically gets respect points for not having thrown him into a river or something out of sheer frustration. He doesn't know much about her personally though! It's really his own fault that he doesn't know her better because he doesn't try to be too involved with Epona because. . . Yato. Also he's a little embarrassed since there's no telling what they've seen from Yato's shards or what Yato has said. Grossss.

Ultimate dere. I don't think there's anyone that Ren adores more than Tora, which is hilarious because he doesn't actually know that much about who she was before being in memloss hell, but he's also kind of taken the stance that he doesn't care that much. Like, he wants to know these things but only if she wants to tell him because what matters most to him is who she is now. She's his teammate, his friend, and part of what he has decided is his family. He'll defend her against anything.

WHICH IS PROBABLY GONNA LEVEL UP once he finds out Io is gone because that means she's all that's left of the team that he arrived into.

THIS ONE SHOULD BE THE EASIEST ONE BUT SOMEHOW IT'S THE HARDEST ONE. Also this may inaccurate depending on how our threads go. So I'm going to answer for him prior to the sword-training & trauma game.

Straight up, he doesn't know how to deal with Yato. His memories really haven't painted a favourable picture of him whatsoever with a small exception. Yato is incompetent, broke, followerless, sketchy, and all around trash god. HE REALLY ISN'T EVEN SURE HOW SOMEONE LIKE HIM EVEN EXISTS because by all accounts it doesn't make sense. What's the point of a god like this and even worse, why was this the god that he got stuck with? Then to make matters worse, most of their interaction here were really stupid and he was starting to get the impression that he shouldn't waste his time on someone like Yato who totally didn't want him around either so!! Then stuff happened and he put in a lot more effort to try and get somewhere with Yato because he was starting to like the idea of being a shinki because he remembers being so proud when he evolved into a hafuri. WHICH WAS ALSO HARD BECAUSE HE STILL FELT LIKE YATO DIDN'T WANT HIM AROUND even though he tried to be straight up about it.

Annnnd he still kind of feels like that even though they shared shards. He has FEELINGS towards Yato and he cares about him but he feels like Yato would rather if he didn't come around, which is obnoxious!! Super obnoxious!! He felt Yato's FUWAFUWA feelings towards him in the shards, so why is it different here? WHY IS IT SO HARD.

BASICALLY HE FEELS UNWANTED BUT HE CARES ABOUT YATO, SO HE'S PRETTY OFFENDED. Both by the unwanted feelings and by the positive feelings.

At first Alya was just someone else around his age and someone hilariously easy to tease, so he liked him entirely based on that. THEN HEART-GAMES HAPPENED and all of his deres came pouring out for Alya. He definitely won't admit it unless he was pressed but Alya is definitely his best friend and he's decided that he's not going to let anything happen to him if he can help it. WHICH IS KIND OF HARD WHEN ALYA IS A STUPID FUCK WHO SHOUNENS TOO HARD. Stresses him way the fuck out because he can't handle dealing with a hurt Alya.

ALYA loves Ren a lot! He's a great bro even if. their relationship started off with teasing and other terrible things. AND THE ALMOST-EATING of innocent Rens, oops. I ASSUME ANOTHER RELATIONSHIP REQUEST.

KONG IS........ Kong is complicated, man. First and foremost, he is a teammate which means that he's important to Ren. He cares about the little things and he keeps trying to make conversation with him to find some common ground even though it's hard and awkward BUT HE IS DETERMINED. Mostly because he wants Kong to feel like he belongs there with them which is a stupid idea that has only been strengthened by seeing his memories. He really thought that he had him figured out until seeing the MURDER MEMORY and a little glimpse of mind-reading.

Then he realised he was a jerk who didn't really know anything and has been trying to force stuff on Kong without knowing. LIKE HE ALREADY KNEW HE WAS DOING A LITTLE OF THAT but now it's Definitely A Thing. Totally a thing and he regrets it because he's not sure if he made it difficult for Kong to want to relate back to him? He still cares what he thinks and wants his approval because there's not a part of him that doesn't think that Kong isn't trustworthy. He supported him when he saw his purification ceremony memories, so yeah!! Faith in Kong!!

He's a little shaken by the fact that Kong really enjoyed the balloon murder, but he also. . . really understands. Kong wanted to take back his life and that's something that resonates so strongly within him, so yeah! It's fucked up but that's what went down and he doesn't really judge him for it because he isn't so sure he might not have done the same thing if he was in Kong's position. Plus he's been learning the hard way that desperation can drive people to some fucked up shit.

tl;dr: KONG IS TEAM, REN IS FORGIVING, and he'll defend Kong to the death.

Kong on Ren?

Team is hard for Kong. It's not that he has anything against his fellow cocks; for as much as he was dodging the real question, he was being truthful when he told Ren that he didn't have anything against Alectryon. And he honestly has a soft spot for Ren, despite all of the awkwardness. That's the problem, really. All of his instincts (and memories) are telling him, "don't trust anyone, don't love anyone, don't think about anyone but yourself," and friendship genuinely scares him. So he kind of dreads Ren's attempts.

But at the same time he knows he needs to get along with the team in order to work with them, so Kong has to walk this line where he's a good enough teammate to maintain team loyalty and harmony while still keeping them all at an emotional arm's length for his own sake. It's important that the team continues trusting him, and it's just as important that he doesn't accidentally start trusting them back. So he tries to support Ren whenever he can, but he's scared of accepting support in return. This is becoming harder and harder to pull off, which is why he eventually just slipped up and was like, YEAH I KILLED A DUDE SO WHAT MY LIFE IS TERRIBLE.

But it's hard not to like somebody who is relentlessly supportive, and it's hard not to empathize with Ren's problems when he's experienced them himself via shards. He's starting to care, and he doesn't know what to do with that. He assumes it's a problem. Lately, though, Ren's affection is starting to feel less threatening, and Kong is starting to put him more in the same category as Tora, kinda like, "but what if I kept and raised this child as my attack dog :|a" Part genuine sociopathy, part needing to rationalize his interest in another person.

THE FIRST GIRL HE'D TAKE ON A DATE, BUT THAT'S A HUGE SECRET. Their social link is pretty low-levelled, but he would really like to get to know her better because they haven't had a chance to spend a lot of time together. She's quick to help him haze Alya, cute, and generally interesting as a person so tons of positive feelings towards her!!! ON THE FLIPSIDE, SHE TOTALLY ATE HER OWN CORPSE AND HE'S STILL KIND OF FREAKED OUT BY THAT.

As far as he's concerned, she's extremely cute. Like on a supernatural level. He's pretty taken by her personality! He doesn't have any real in-depth thoughts about her but he was pretty impressed by her attitude as far as the spicy candy went.

He'd save Alectryon. I mean, he'd think about it for a little before making his decision because it's never easy to choose one over the other but. . . Definitely Alectryon. He has faith that Yato would be fine, seeing as he's a god and not some random guy, albeit likely pissed and potentially stung, but fine! Yato's. . . Yato. Alectryon, however, is different and I will never ever tire of talking about his intense feelings towards the team! Arim and Io set down in stone the way he feels about the team—Io in particular who told him "you don't need to be on the outside anymore"—and that's family. They're always had his back, especially when he needed it and he wants to be there for the rest of them in the same way.

REN'S PRIORITIES: ALECTRYON --> YATO --> FRIENDS --> FUCK EVERYONE ELSE.

If William showed up his team would become instantaneously off limits as far as Shoelace is concerned, because William is his baby, and most of his memories will reinforce that. He'd observe William's teammates very closely. If they were treating young master gently, good for them. If they were treating young master badly, God have mercy on their poor souls. He'd do everything not to choose between young master and Alectryon (hating choosing between his most precious things is part of his canon), but if it came to that...Well, he would spend *ages* fretting and then finally choose young master, but would feel miserable regardless, because Alectryon is family.

It's all good!

He doesn't have a lot of in-depth opinion about Obsidian yet, but he believes him to be very gentle but also incredibly foolish. He's really nice, caring, and has a very comforting presence, buuuuuuuut he's dating someone he met here and hasn't known long. THAT'S CRAZINESS TO REN because he's looking at it as a thing that's going to become very painful if one of them disappears or when they have to go home. HE'S YOUNG ENOUGH where he's like generally like WHAT about relationships though.

They really ought to talk and spend more time together because Ren doesn't have a lot of responsible adults in his life! Most of them are a total mess.
