since you played a hand in everything

for months i really thought that i liked anya
i mean who wouldn't? she's smart and pretty and so nice
she was probably the first person to be nice to me
after i moved here too

i mean!! at prom she sung a whole song for me
in front of e v e r y b o d y
like i dunno i just thought
it meant something more
it felt like a lot!

so i told her how i felt like some months after
since everyone was encouraging me to tell her

it didn't go well! i had confused her kindness
and her general personality for "feelings"
she didn't like me
