Alya is without a doubt one of the most important to people to him, which should be incredibly obvious considering that he was painfully serious about murdering Jaguar in revenge for his death. He's still pretty serious about it even though it's unlikely that it would ever come to pass, but IT WAS STILL INCREDIBLY UNFORGIVABLE. I am not sure whether or not his cr with Jaguar is going to be able to recover from that, but I definitely intend to try. I LOVED HIS STUPID ADMIRATION OF JAGUAR, now that's all in pieces because he is a horrible betrayer who killed Alya. SURE ALYA IS DUMB AND RECKLESS AND KIND OF RUNS HEADFIRST INTO DANGEROUS THINGS, but he's got good intentions at heart.

Otherwise I don't think Yukine would be able to stand him. It's hard for him to watch him run off to do all these things though because every time they're in a game together, he's constantly nervous that something is going to happen and Alya is going to die and he's going to have to pick up the pieces. It's very stressful because he wants to protect Alya just as much as he wants to protect his teammates, but the difference is that he already knows that Alya is very hard to control. He expects him to do crazy stuff and he is okay with piecing him back together because he feels that he still needs that support despite being entirely in the wrong? The issue with the Jag thing was that it wasn't Alya rushing headlong into fighting someone but just cold-blooded murder. He's just never going to see eye-to-eye with him on that and it's kind of unreasonable to expect him too since ALYA IS UNREASONABLE. The fuck, kid, who said any of that was OK.

Actually, who gave Alya any permission to even exist. Alya has been incredibly affectionate with Yukine from very early on and never relented. He has no reason to be because they aren't teammates and he owes absolutely nothing to him, but he still does stuff like come over with legos, crawl into nestbeds with him, talk about nonsense, or hold his hand. This means the world to him because not only does he have a friend to just be a stupid teenager with, but he also has someone who just unconditionally likes him and is very optimistic about the world and everything in it. Telling Alya about what he is was kind of meant as a deterrent because he was struggling with all of the affection that he felt for Alya in return ESPECIALLY AFTER SHOUTING THAT HE LOVED HIM. Dere points way off the fucking charts. Anyway instead of like recoiling like a normal person and realising how problematic things were, Alya took the opposite direction. He was basically like "I DON'T CARE, YOU'RE NOT DEAD TO ME" because that's how he honestly felt. WHICH IS SO STUPID BECAUSE IT DOESN'T CHANGE ANYTHING BUT IT MEANT SO MUCH TO YUKINE. A lot of his shounening tends to speak to him since Alya gets very "I DON'T LIKE THIS SO I WON'T ACCEPT IT" and he thinks it's dumb but he also really likes it?

SO NATURALLY HE ENDED UP CONFESSING AND he felt so stupid about it and at the time didn't really think Alya was doing more than humouring him. IT WAS FRUSTRATING BUT HE DIDN'T WANNA. . . not try anyway. Alya still makes him super happy and he kind of felt that if it didn't work out then they'd be friends anyway. WORST CASE SITUATION HE'D JUST FUCK OFF FOR A WHILE AND FORCE ALYA TO FORGET ABOUT HIM via absence. Which would actually super backfire on him considering Alya's personality, but HE DOESN'T THINK SO. He thinks he could have totally gotten away with doing that as if he wouldn't eventually run into Alya again at some point. LMFAO. Fucking stupid.

Ofc, that's not how he feels now after the trauma game with the massive amounts of dere that Alya pushed his way. I think he told him that he loved him around like 5 times or something? Yukine's too weak to this shit, he can't do this. Anyway, he's worked himself into the hole where he knows without a doubt that Alya is the object of his affections and he's fiercely loyal to him. THAT'S IT, THEY MARRIED.

ALSO I STILL HAVE SO MUCH MORE TO SAY ABOUT THIS BUT JFC IT'S TOO MUCH.

Lion on the other hand thinks Alya is the dumbest kid that she's ever had the misfortune of dealing with. She did really appreciate the attempt to hug her though, but the idea of being touched at the time was completely terrifying.
